Condition:
Patina slightly spotted and slightly rubbed in exposed areas. Dust deposits in the indentations. Minimal bluish rubbing on the right, on the top of the sculpture. Otherwise the work is in good condition.

Polo, called the "Hunter of Curves", born Jean-Paul Derrier in Bellegarde-sur-Valserine.
His Italian mother passed on to him her artistic esprit and strong aesthetic sensibility, while his father, a native of the Haute-Savoie region between France and Switzerland, imparted prudence. In his youth, Polo left Savoie to work as an artist all over the world. As a self-taught artist, he managed to adapt quickly to the demands of the art market. So he went through very different styles and also techniques. But when the globetrotter finally set up a studio in Cannes, he found his calling in sculpture. For years he has been creating sculptures in marble, granite, limestone and bronze, which have found their way into numerous prominent private collections in Monaco and on the Côte d'Azur.
