SMALL WOODEN PERFUME OR TOILETRY CASKET WITH FLORAL FILIGREE DECOR.
Presumably Scandinavia.
Date: 2nd half 18th c.
Technique: Wooden centre with leather covering and filigree decoration. Interior lined with silk and flacon insert. Glass flacons, silver, gold-plated.
Description: Casket with domed lid and heavily fluted corners. Fine filigree of ornamentally arranged
flowers and leaves on all sides. Inside, original insert for six elongated glass flacons,
a small funnel and a small, round box.
Measurement: Box: 9.5x15x11.5cm. Height of bottle ca. 6cm, height of funnel 2.5cm, Ø box 3cm.
Mark: Three of the lids and box possibly marked France. Weight ca. 44g.
Lock not working three of the flacons broken, presumably three lids replaced.
