SILVER CARRIAGE CLOCK WITH TWO CASE JACKETS.

Technique: Silver, tortoise shell, welded steel, acromatic glass, etc.
Description: The first case jacket with tortoise shell and ornamental silver piquet. The second case
jacket is smooth and without ornamentation in silver, as is the actual watch case.
Enamelled dial with Roman hours and Arabic minute track, inner chapter ring for the date
with blued steel hands. The movement between two gilt brass plates. Brass wheel train,
verge escapement with wheel balance, spring drum with chain and fusee. Without striking
mechanism.
Measurement: Length 21cm, Ø 16cm.
Mark: Inscr. on the back plate "R. D. Webster Change Alley London" (Richard Webster, from 1811, Loomes p.823). Case inspection mark London 1811, maker's mark presumably John Baxter.
