Description: 3-hand chronograph with 30-minute counter at "3" o'clock, 12-hour counter at "6" o'clock and subsidiary seconds at "9" o'clock.
The first 3-part-oyster chronograph, the 6234 or 'Pre-Daytona', characterises Rolex chronographs right up to the present day. It is equipped with a manually wound chronograph clockwork, the Calibre Valjoux 72 A, which enables precise timekeeping.
The rare vintage wrist chronograph is characterised by the black tachymeter scale and the blue telemeter scale for the US market. The 6234 model was produced between 1955 and 1961.
Despite its age, the watch is in excellent condition.
