'Hot Ingo'. Spiral-Shaped Polyamide and Gold Ear Jewellery.
Date: Design originally introduced in 2003.
Material: 750/- yellow gold, with hallmark, black polyamide.
Total Weight: ca. 12,0 g.
Measurement: Length 10,3 cm, width (spiral) ca. 2,2 cm.
Description: 1 pair of earrings, designed as long rods each entwined by a spiral form — adjustable in height, ranging from a compressed sphere to a coiled spiral.
The "Hot Ingo" earrings mark the designer and architect’s entry into the world of jewellery, created in collaboration with the Louisa Guinness Gallery in London. Arad combined the material innovation of 3D printing with laser-sintered polyamide — transferring a technology traditionally used by engineers, designers and silversmiths to create prototypes, to the art of jewellery-making.
The earrings were produced in several editions, with polyamide spheres available in white, black, and red, paired with rods crafted from yellow gold, rose gold, platinum, silver, and blackened silver.

Purchased in 2013 from Antiquair Juwelier Marjan Sterk Amsterdam for EUR 5,000, original invoice, box enclosed.
