On the frame rear panel there is an inscription: Meiner Tochter Barbara Roselieb, Detmold, zur Sammlung übereignet, Holzminden 15/9. 61, RJahns.
Here additionally inscribed: No. 12 (circled). Next to this signed by a hand other than the artist's: PA 1 (in red), WV 165 (in blue); Rudolf Jahns, Holzminden, 1924, composition.
