This painting is a tribute to Paolo Uccello, who is considered the father of perspective painting in Italy. In this work, Rune Mields takes up the composition of the painting "The Battle of San Remo" (c. 1440), which is exhibited in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence. This is part of a 3-part series, which is captivating with the abundance of figures in clear perspective pictorial structure.
