Throughout her life, Sarah Schumann travels to the Baltic Sea, including the German island of Vilm, which lies off the southern coast of the island of Rügen. With the cycle "Der See. Der Morgen. Der Abend", she processes the views of the island in paintings that radiate in bright colour-intensive pastel tones and show the landscape in connection with the sea from a bird's eye view.
