Technique: Silk and other fabrics. Nishiki and kinran with gild paper strips. Silk velvet.
Description: a) Buddhist cloak (kesa) made of blue nishiki with dragons. 114x210cm. Lining: Beige silk.
b) Buddhist cloak (kesa) in orange nishiki with chrysanthemums. 113x204cm. Lining: Beige silk. Framed with blue Chinese silk, width 20cm wide.
c) A piece of blue kinran silk with crane mon between kiri-karakusa. 50x184cm.
d)e)f) Three pieces of velvet. Europe. Green: 75x252cm. Red with pattern: 53x140cm. Red: 57x189cm. Faded and pile partly rubbed or faded.
Condition C. Brittle, bleached and damaged.

Collection Dr. Franz Haniel (1883-1965), since then bequest of the family estate.
