SMALL BRONZE OPIUM OR SMOKING TABLE WITH FIGURATIVE FOOT.
Origin: Presumably China.
Date: Late 19th/early 20th c.
Technique: Bronze, wood.
Description: The small wooden plate mirrors the shape of the continuous foot. On it stand two small
figures in the style of Chinese children - a girl blowing a long trumpet and a boy with a
rice straw hat and a standing drum. Climbing up the ladder-like foot of the table, another
little boy with a hat is trying to reach the girl sitting further up and playing the flute.
Measurement: Height 58cm.
