SMALL ROUND INCENSE BOX.

Origin: China.
Date: Ming dynasty (1368-1644).
Technique: Wood and paper with lacquer, inlay of mother-of-pearl of the abalone. Inside lacquered red.
Description: Small round box, presumably for incense. The lid and the sides covered with hexagons in
which star shaped flowers are set. Underneath a low footring.
Measurement: H.3cm, Ø 6.3cm.
Signature: Underneath a collection label: 72. Inside a label: China 7.
Condition B/C.

Provenance:
Collection Dr. Franz Haniel (1883-1965), since then bequest of the family estate.
