Technique: Painting on paper. Framed behind glass.
Description: Scull and hourglass placed on a table next to a candle that has just gone out. Above a
written banner with "Vanitas". Below a saying from the Liber Ecclesiastes of Kohelet:
"Vidi in omnibus vanitaem (sic), et nihil permanere sub sole. Eccles.z.v.ii".
Measurement: Without frame 9,5 x 14cm. Frame 21 x 17cm.
Mark: On the back handwritten letter dated 1775.
