OVAL SNUFF-BOX WITH DEPICTION OF MOTHER WITH CHILD MADE OF GOLD, SPLIT-PEARL-SET AND ENAMEL.

Date: Around 1800.
Technique: Fine gold. split-pear-set, translucent enamel decor in dark blue, violet and white.
Description: Oval shape with enamel decoration on all sides. Along the outside jagged frieze, enamelled
and engraved, as well as small urn shaped vases in rectangular frames. Almond-shaped
medallion framed by finely assorted pearls on top of the hinged lid. Inside, fine enamel
painting of a young mother holding her child.
Weight: 52g.
Measurement: 2x7x4,5cm.
Mark: Maker's mark probably later: 'RPC' with beams, engraved.
