Collection Prof. Dr. Thomas Olbricht, Essen, since 2013.

Published by Collaert around 1600, this series of bird depictions represents a masterpiece of early ornithological prints. The detailed birds appear in each case against a precisely executed landscape background that corresponds to their natural habitat. The complete series, consisting of two parts with 15 sheets each plus a cover sheet each, is except for minimal signs of age in very good condition and in this uniform form rarely found on the market.
