SPLENDID SILVER ROCOCO TUREEN WITH POMEGRANATE KNOB AND GILT INTERIOR ON PRÉSENTOIR.

Technique: Silver, Tureen with gilt interior.
Description: The oval body on four leaf-shaped feet with rocaille cartouches. The sides decorated with
dynamic leaf and shell relief. The strongly vaulted hooded lid with large knob in the
shape pf a pomegranate on chased foliage. The lateral handles shaped as vines. Oval,
curved Présentoir with scalloped rim, the handles designed corrisponding to those on the
tureen.

Measurement: Tureen: Height 31,5cm, width 43cm / Présentoir: Width 59cm.
Mark: Inspection mark Berlin with A (Scheffler, Berlin no.5), maker's mark Müller brothers (around 1737-80, ibid. no.139), testing mark.
