BRONZE SARVABUDDHA-DAKINI.
Origin: Tibet.
Date: 18th/19th c.
Technique: Bronze, fire-gilt. Stone setting.
Description: The initiation goddess of Naropa stands naked in alidhasana on an oval lotus throne,
trampling down the enemies of the teaching lying on the ground. She holds a cult knife in
her right hand, which is stretched downwards, and a skull bowl filled with blood in her
left hand, which she holds up to her mouth. She wears a skull crown and skull necklace as
well as chain jewellery. Stone trimming. Remains of blue cult colour in the hair. Base
opened and filled with a black mass.
Measurement: Height 17,5cm.
