CHRYSANTHEMUM DISH AND TWO BURIAL JADES.

Date: China. Dish Qing dynasty, 18th-19th c. Cong and bi-disk after funerary jades, undated.
Technique: Dark green moos jade with partly translucent parts and brown inclusions. Cong and disk: Dark green/brown jade with brown inclusions and partly calcified.
Description: The narrow long petals in three concentric layers around a cross-hatched centre. The wide
base ring also formed by a layer of petals. The two burial jades are symbols for heaven
and earth after early models.
Measurement: Dish: h.4cm, Ø 24cm. Cong: h.13.8cm, ø 12.5cm. Bi disk: Ø 17.1cm.
