STANDING SHISOU GUANYIN.

Date: China. 17th c. or later.
Technique: Bronze inlaid with silver. Dark patina, remains of gilding and black lacquer. Hands worked seperately and set in.
Description: Standing with folded hands and wrapped in a wide robe. Over the high hairstyle with a
tiara lies a cloth. The Ushnisha on the forehead and the jewellery inlaid in silver beads,
the robe borders and cloud pattern inlaid in silver wire.
Measurement: H.49cm.
Mark: Signed on the back with inlaid silver: Yutang Shisou.
Condition B. One finger broken.
Enclosed: Original index card of the Schwend Collection with two photos of the figure.
