SCREW CAP BOTTLE WITH ACANTHUS VINES.

Date: Around 1700.
Technique: Partially gilt silver.
Description: Cylindrical body. The sides partitioned in six curved sections on a flat base. Acanthus
vines in relief in the centre of the curved panels, framed at the top and bottom by
twisted gadroons. Straight shoulder with a gdrooned bulge. The flat screw lid with hinged
handle is decorated accordingly.
Weight: Ca. 330g.
Measurement: Height (incl. raised lid) 15,5cm.
Mark: Marked on the bottom: Inspection mark Ohlau (Hintze, Schlesische Goldschmiede, type III), slightly indistinct maker's mark Conrad Wolter (1693-1710, ibid. p.152).
