RARE 'BRYONE' GLASS VASE WITH BERRY BRANCHES AND SCULPTED BERRIES.

Daum Frères. Nancy.

Date: Ca. 1905.
Technique: Acromatic glass, interior overlay with yellow and greenish powder inclusions. Enamel heightened with white applied cabochons.
Description: The shape has a round base with a nodus and flared vase belly. The narrow neck protrudes
slightly towards the top. Etched and finely enamelled decor of red turnips (Bryona ioica)
on the walls. Eleven of the red berries heightened with glass cabochons.
Measurement: Height 54.2cm.
Mark: 'Daum Nancy' inscr. on the walls with a Cross of Lorraine, enamelled.

Berlin private collection.
