1867 Nolde - 1956 Seebüll
Title: Ein Paar, Mann und Frau.
Date: Between 1931 and 1935.
Technique: Watercolour and India ink on Japan.
Measurement: 25 x 33cm.
Notation: Signed lower right: Nolde.
Frame/Pedestal: Framed. Not examined out of the frame.
The watercolour was begun on the reverse with a double portrait that was not completed. The sheet belongs to the watercolour series of 'Fantasies', which were created between 1931 and 1935.
The work is accompanied by a photographic expertise by Professor Dr Manfred Reuther, Stiftung Seebüll Ada und Emil Nolde, dated 17 March 2008.
