SCHAEFLER, FRITZ1888 Eschau - 1954 Cologne

Title: Untitled (Landscape with Tree).
Date: Presumably second half of the 1920s.
Technique: Egg tempera on canvas.
Measurement: 63 x 46.5cm.
Notation: Signed lower right: F. Schaefler.
Frame/Pedestal: Framed (76 x 60cm).

Condition:
Under UV light slight retouches are visible in the upper area of the painting. Painting surface minimally stained. Slight craquelure with raised paint clods, especially in the uppermost paint layer. Occasional slight chipping to the left of the tree trunk (ca. 0,3 x 0,4,cm, only the uppermost paint layer), to the left at the lower beginning of the leaf crown (ca. 3 x 1cm, only the uppermost paint layer) and at the upper left margin (ca. 0,2 x 0,5cm, up to the canvas). Otherwise good condition. Not examined out of the frame.
