- Private collection North Germany

- Winter was a student of Paul Klee at the Bauhaus and a documenta participant from the very beginning
- Characteristic colour field painting from his late work, with which he set completely new impulses in painting
- Fritz Winter's exploration of the elementary forces of nature is reflected in an intense yet restrained visual language
