SILVER COMMUNION JUG WITH ENGRAVED COAT OF ARMS.

Date: Dated 1720.
Technique: Silver, interior with remains of gilding.
Description: Slightly bulbous base ring with flared rim. The cylindrical body tapers slightly towards
the top and is undecorated except for the large coat of arms engraving and with bracket
moulding. Hinged lid with ball finial. The coat of arms is presumably that of the noble
Spiller family of Mitterberg and Steeben.
Weight: Ca. 330g.
Measurement: Height 21cm.
Mark: French import brand after 1893.
