HISTORICAL GEMSTONE-RING.
Origin: France.
Date: Ca. 1900.
Material: 750/- yellow, rose gold, with hallmark. Silver, tested, black enamel.
Total Weight: ca. 8,5 g.
EU Ring Size: 53.
Measurement: Ring head ca. 3,1 x 1,6 cm.
Gemstones: 17 oval, triangle and cushion-cut gemstones, green, rose-red, yellow, violet. Centre stone amethyst ca. 1,3 ct.
Description: The ring rail is hallmarked with French and presumably Dutch hallmarks (see Divis 1146, presumably 1025). A striking ring with a large navette-shaped ring head beset with multicoloured stones. The rail is decorated with black enamel on either side of the ring head.
The proceeds will go to a charitable foundation.
Condition: Traces of wear and usage in the form of slight to heavy visible scratches,
consistent with its age. Some rough bumps in the gold on the ring rail in places, as well
as two minor cracks. The gold and silver show signs of oxidation. A noticeable chip on one
triangle-cut stone, other stones slightly bumped.
