ENSEMBLE OF THREE PORCELAIN MINIATURE IMARI VASES AND LIDS AND TWO FUNNEL VASES.

Japan.
Date: Ca. 1740.
Technique: Porcelain, painted blue under glaze and red onglaze painting decor.
Measurement: Height 12cm/10cm.
Mark: No discernible marks.

Provenance:
Private collection Bavaria, acquired Christian Eduard Franke art dealer, Bamberg.

The set of five chimney vases found its place in what was certainly a exquisitly furnished doll's house. Just as for adults, the Japanese export market also produced porcelain dishes for doll's houses. The set probably originates from the Netherlands. A completely preserved set is extraordinarily rare.
