Technique: Firegilt bronze.
Description: On a rectangular plinth with fruit festoons and cupids playing music. On top the figurine
of Venus with a dove and a lamb. Roman hour numerals and Arabic minute track. Large
flattened 14-day pendulum movement with anchor escapement, thread suspension and half-hour
strike on bell.
Measurement: 43x33x15cm.
Mark: On dial incr. 'Ch.les Bertrand A Paris' (1761-approx.1787-89, Tardy p.55).
