Title: Gobi mit frischem Schnee.

Technique: Mixed media on vellum.
Measurement: 70 x 100cm.
Notation: Signed lower left: Hödicke.
Condition:
Sheet minimally wavy due to the manufacturing process. Slight crease in the middle image area. Bumping to the lower left sheet margin with minimal paper loss. Occasional losses of colour and patches of paint in the margins of the white paint.

Berlin has had impressive winters with endless amounts of snow. Berlin is so far east that we have a continental climate with icy winter air that is crystal clear.
In my studio on Dessauer Straße, the vast wastelands around me were transformed into endless white snowy landscapes under the masses of snow. Only the occasional car drew lines in the snow. - Painting snow alone is almost impossible, but it is attractive.
