LARGE PORCELAIN GROUP 'AURORA AND KEPHALUS'.

Meissen.
Date: 19th century.
Technique: Porcelain, enriched in colours.
Description: Group consisting of 2 figurines mounted together. On the left Aurora, dressed only with a draped cloth. Flowers in her lap and right hand, she is sitting on a cloud-throne.
Her gaze is lifted towards Kephalus, standing on the right, wearing also just a draped cloth. He is standing in front of a tree stump holding his attribute, the throwing spear. At his feet lies his dog Lälaps .
Measurement: Height 46cm.
Mark: Both figurines with swordsmark, 2907, porcelain former no. 6.
