PORCELAIN GROUP OF SATYR AND NYMPH.

Meissen.
Date: 19th century.
Maker/Designer: Model J-J. Kaendler.
Technique: Porcelain, enriched in colours and gold.
Description: Satyr standing on a rocaille base, the left arm around the waist of a nymph, in his right
hand a seashell-shaped drinking bowl. Vines with grapes trail around his loins. Behind the
two, who look at each other playfully, crouches a small satyr boy with grapes and a wine
glass in his hands.
Measurement: Height 29,5cm.
Mark: Swordsmark, D57, porcelain former no. 51, painter no. 54.
