SMALL PORCELAIN SERVICE WITH MERCHANT NAVY SCENES.

Meissen.
Date: 18th century.
Technique: Porcelain, enriched in colours and gold.
Description: 14 pieces consisting of: Coffee pot, 6 tea bowls with saucers, 1 bowl with lid.
Each decorated with lace cartouches in gold with gold lustre and attached feather leafs in purple and iron red as well as panels filled with an iron red lattice pattern. Indian flowers between the cartouches on the jugs and on the bowl. The Cartouches with the finest of merchant navy and lively port scenes, each multi-figured with for example fishermen hauling in their nets, dockers at their break and negotiating merchants.
Mark: Swordsmark. gold painter`s no. 10.
