MIXED LOT OF PIETRA-DURA-BROOCH AND HAIR-GOLD-BRACELET.
Origin: Amongst others Florence.
Date: Ca. 1870 and later.
Material: 585/- red gold, tested and base meta (needle), real hair.
Total Weight: ca. 21,5 g.
Measurement: Brooch Ø ca. 4,3 cm, bracelet length ca. 14,0 cm and larger, hair flexibel.
Gemstones: Inlay work in Pietra Dura, various gem sorts.
Description: Bracelet hallmarked "H.L. Sherman". Centre piece hinged like a medaillon, on the inside glazing with photo of a lady.
The proceeds will go to a charitable foundation.
Condition: Consistent with its age in good condition, traces of wear in the form of minor
to more severe scratches. Bracelet with remains of glue and soldering marks, gold
oxidised. Photo streaky, has reacted to air. Pietra Dura provisionally repaired with
plastic. Brooch needle soldered verso, later.
