The 30T2 RG clockwork is based on the original 30T2 calibre, which Omega developed in 1939 as part of the '30 mm calibre' series. These clockworks were named after their 30 mm diameter and were known for their simplicity, robustness and precision.
The 'RG' in the name stands for 'Regulateur de Guillochage', which refers to the fine and special finishing of the clockwork. This refinement and the precise adjustment to chronometric precision set the calibre 30T2 RG apart from other clockworks of its time.
The calibre 30T2 RG was a manual-winding movement with 17 jewels and a frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour (A/h).
One of the hallmarks of the calibre 30T2 RG was its outstanding performance in chronometer tests in the 1940s and 1950s.
Particularly in the observatory test in Geneva, one of the most prestigious tests for precision watches, Omega was able to achieve several top rankings with the calibre 30T2 RG.
Vault watch, despite its age the watch is in excellent condition.
From the collection of an important Cologne watch connoisseur.
