Condition:
Minimally discoloured. Minimal worn sheet edges. Slight bumpings and creases in the margins. Verso remains of an old mounting as well as minimally discoloured and minimal stainings. Otherwise in good condition.
Verso equipped with typographical number "VIII". The print was created after a chalk drawing that the artist made in Vienna in 1920. Kokoschka sketched Camilla Swoboda, the wife of Karl Maria Swoboda, Max Dvorák's assistant at the time, while she listened to her hustband play the piano. There were probably over 20 drawings, 10 of which were reproduced in 1021 with an introduction written by Dvorák under the title "Variationen über ein Thema".
