PAIR OF SMALL CLOISONNÉ TEA POTS.
Origin: China.
Date: 19th century.
Technique: Enamel, gilt bottom.
Description: On narrow foot ring, a spherical body with a slightly S-shaped spout. The latter is
decorated with a spout of gilt metal in the shape of a dragon's head. C-shaped handles as
dragon's bodies. Vaulted lid with a pointy oval knob in the shape of a lotus bud made of
gilt metal. Decorated in fine, colourful enamel cloisonné. On the front and back each with
a four-panel cartouche with blooming cherry blossom branches, all on yellow ground with a
continuous pattern inlaid with metal threads.
Measurement: Height each 12cm.
Signature: Without detectable marks.
