IRON FACADE LOCK WITH MASCARON.
Presumably Italy.
Date: 2nd half of the 16th c.
Technique: Iron.
Description: High rectangular form with strict tendril bands as outer boundary. Central portal
architecture with round arch field. In it a cherub, above it two men's heads in profile.
The portal field, which covers the keyhole, with a large mascaron, the tongue slightly
movable.
Measurement: 25x13,5x13cm.
Lock mechanism slightly defective or no longer present. Keyhole cover stuck.
