The work originates from the series "Dear David Johnson" for the eponymous exhibition in the Monique Meloche Gallery, Chicago, 2011. Among the works were panel texts, dedicated to the imaginary curator David Johnson. The exhibition is part of a made-up autobiography, which Van de Velde continues and expands with each exhibition.
