MAGNIFICENT HISTORICISM CENTERPIECE WITH DIANA ON STAG.

Date: 19th/20th century.
Technique: Silver, set with gem stones.
Description: On oval, highly domed base with hunting-themed relief cartouches, gnarled tree trunk as
support for large, leaping stag. He wears an elaborate bridle and saddle for his rider,
the hunting goddess Diana, with bow and arrow in her hands. The head of the stag is to be
removed in the tradition of jesting- and 'Willkomm' vessels.
Weight: Ca. 1230g.
Measurement: Height 30, length 28cm.
Mark: Crescent & Crown, fineness 800, maker's mark.
