PAIR OF LARGE, MAGNIFICENT GIRANDOLES WITH MALABAR AND MALABARINE.

Paris.
Date: 19th century.
Maker/Designer: The Samson porcelain figurines after Meissen models.
Technique: Firegilt bronze. Porcelain, decorated with colour.
Description: Each with dynamicly shaped foot with open worked C-curves, leafs and large applied
blossoms. Seven curved tendril arms, each with a vase-shaped spout and leaf-shaped drip
plate. In the centre of the chandelier arms the large porcelain figurines of a Malabarine
with fruit baskets and a Malabar with shield and sword.
Measurement: Girandoles: Height each 69cm, width 42,5cm. Porcelain figurines: height each approx. 35cm.
