This bust is a historical antique copy of the original from the period between 1353 and 1336 BC, which has been in the collection of the Egyptian Museum in Berlin since 1920. The sculptor Tina Haim-Wentscher was commissioned in 1913/14 to create a copy of the original bust, which was intended for James Simon and Kaiser Wilhelm II. After the bust was given to the museum on permanent loan in 1920, Haim-Wentscher was again commissioned to create another version as a model for the reproduction of the bust. This bust, which was created in 1930, dates from this early period and we are delighted to be able to present you with one of these rare early mouldings.
