STONEWARE OVOIDE VASE WITH FLOWER ORNAMENTATION.
Origin: China.
Dynasty: Northern Sung dynasty.
Date: 11th-12th c.
Technique: Stoneware with slip-painted decoration.
Description: Ovoid body with a short, strongly indented neck, the rim flared. The sides decorated with
cream-coloured slip painting, the intertwined decor with peonies and leafy vines in three
large oval cartouches having been cut away before firing.
Measurement: Height 32,5cm.
Some minor restorations in the area of the cartouches.
