PAIR OF EXTRAORDINARY AND SPLENDID HISTORISM GOBLETS MADE OF GILT BRONZE AND GREEN FOREST GLASS.
South Germany.
Date: First half 19th century.
Technique: Gilt copper and bronze. Green forest glass.
Description: Pear-shaped body with pierced walls and rich ornamental decoration. Round foot with
mascarons. The handle in the shape of a chimera. Leaf mascaron as thumb rest. The lid,
which is also pierced, is crowned by a rearing billy goat.
Measurement: Height 40cm.
