SPLENDID BAROQUE FIR WOOD BED WITH EPISCOPAL COAT OF ARMS.

South Germany.
Date: Dated 1734.
Technique: Carved, partially painted fir wood. Embroideries.
Description: Richly decorated foot and head piece with blossoms, acanthus leaves, volutes and
rocailles. In reserves dated 17 AD 34 and Maria Immaculata.
Measurement: Length 199cm, Width (lying surface) 117cm

Private collection Rhineland.

Due to the crest being decorated with a prelate's hat with six tassels in green on both sides, it is probably the coat of arms of an auxiliary bishop. Unfortunately, a definitive identification was not yet possible.
