LARGE SILVER NAUTILUS CUP WITH TRITON.

Technique: Silver, partially gilt. Nautilus shell.
Description: On the laced, high round base, a large dolphin with a curled tail swimming on small waves.
A triton riding on the animal and blowing into a conch shell. Balancing the large nautilus
shell with his right hand and head. The nautilus shell is framed with finely crafted
clasps and has a wide rim, finely engraved with female mascarons and vegetal ornaments.
Weight: Ca. 1780g.
Measurement: Height 34cm.
Mark: Crescent & crown, 800 standard silver, Munich, maker's mark Theodor Heiden (Royal Bavarian Court Goldsmith, from 1864).
