TWO TENMOKU TEA BOWLS.
Origin: Japan.
Date: 18th-19th c.
Technique: Dark brown, highly fired stoneware, covered with dark brown Tenmoku glaze, one with oil stain effect (yui tenmoku), the other partly light grey and with mushi kui in the glaze.
Description: Both with fine blackened silver rim on the lip. One bowl with lacquer repair and collectors label: 23.
Measurement: H.5.5cm, Ø 13cm; H.6.7cm, Ø 11.7cm.

Collection Dr. Franz Haniel (1883-1965), since then bequest of the family estate.
