GILT COPPER AND ENAMEL MEMENTO MORI PENDANT WITH DANCE OF THE DEAD.
Presumably Southern Germany.
Date: 16th/17th century.
Technique: Gilt copper and enamel in black and white.
Description: Triangular black and white patterned frame with small outer frieze of alternating white
triangles and black drop shapes. Below the eyelet, in gold-colored mounting the center,
carved en miniature. Its movable frame decorated with skeletons engaging in lively dancing
and playing music.
Measurement: Height 4,5cm, width 4,5cm.
Mark: Without detectable marks.
