WOODEN STANDING FIGURE OF THE GUANYIN.

Dynasty: Qing period.

Technique: Wood, carved. Red varnish, remains of gilding.
Description: Depicted as an elegant lady, the Guanyin in a wide kimono that moves in the wind. Her hair
is pinned up in a knot and adorned with a flower. Her left hand is in front of her body,
holding a basket with a wriggling fish on top. In her left hand she holds a ruyi sceptre.
Measurement: Height 90cm.
