Technique: Faience with white glaze and decor in green and yellow with dark contours.
Description: On a plinth with three curved sides, the salt bowl on an openwork stand, held by a young
woman with long curls and an aureola.
Measurement: Height 19,5cm, width 14,5cm.
Mark: Without detectable marks.
Provenance:
Haus Lüttgens, Aachen.
A figural inkwell in the collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London is very comparable in expression and color choice (Inv.-Nr.C.2281-1910) and was used as a comparison for dating and origin.
