LARGE CANTON STYLE FAMILLE ROSE VASE.
Origin: China.
Date: 19th/20th century.
Technique: Porcelain, decorated with colour.
Description: On a sturdy foot ring elongated ovoid body with a high, trumpet-shaped neck and flared,
curved rim. On the neck two plastically applied handles in the shape of Buddhist lions
with their young. On the shoulder four applied chilong dragons. Decorated in the Canton
style in gold and the colours of the famille rose with variously shaped cartouches with
figural palace scenes. On a dense background of flowering branches, Chinese antiques and
butterflies.
Measurement: Height 86cm.
Signature: Without detectable marks.
