The RKD gives the following provenance:
Collection Jacques Goudstikker, Amsterdam;
auction Hans W. Lange, Berlin 16.04.1943, lot 94;
Collection Heinrich Hoffmann, Vienna, 1943-1946;
Central Collecting Point Munich no. 27811, 1946-1959;
Bavarian National Museum, Munich, 1959-1962;
since then private ownership, Germany.
After consultation with the Goudstikker Art Research Project, the painting does not appear to be from the collection of Jacques Goudstikker. Therefore, based on the documents and information currently available, Ms von Saher will not claim the painting at this time. However, Ms von Saher reserves any rights she may have to the painting should further documents or information become available.
